Task: Respond to the Discussion A discussion response is meant to allow a person time for personal reflection in order to respond thoughtfully to a topic following a group discussion in which ideas and thoughts were exchanged on a particular topic or issue. Discussion:  Services comprise intangible experience which is being provided by the service provider to the customer who has paid for those services. For example, educational services are given by educational institutes to the students. Relationships with customers are very important at every stage and every level and therefore customers are very much important in services marketing. All the activities in services marketing are directed towards customer satisfaction right from the beginning till end. This asks for quality assurance from the service provider in the whole process. By comparing services marketing with marketing of a product, customer relationship becomes very important as service provider and customer has a direct interaction in the service environment. No matter what was the level of service experience, if there is a weak link between the service provider and the customer, the service provided does not have any meaning. Service involves providing customers the efforts of the business in your services you provide as a service provider and it all depends how a customer feels about it and therefore having a healthy business or professional relation with the customers is very important in services marketing (Wirtz & Lovelock, 2018). Consumer behavior is equally important as service provider's efforts are in the service organization. This is because both complement each other in the process of service marketing. A consumer behavior can be positive or negative, which depends upon the past events with the service provider. This becomes even more important for services organization because customers are part of the services delivered to them, which is not the case when the product is manufactured. For example, a customer entered a restaurant where he has pre developed notions about the restaurant that the food offered there is exceptional. This behavior or perceived notion which he carries will enhance his service experience and make him feel the services better. This shows how important customer's behavior is in the service organization and this behavior can affect the overall service experience of the customers and the way services are provided by the service provider. Services marketing involves intangible service experience provided by the service provider to the customers, which may include a range of services such as recruitment services, advertising services, IT services, insurance services, and many others (Wirtz & Lovelock, 2018). Service marketing involves 2-way interaction unlike product marketing because services are produced and consumed at the same time and this makes consumers and providers equally important.
