Summary Introduction

Introduction:

Change in the DNA sequence or structure of the genome is termed as mutation. Errors during replication and environmental factors can cause mutation. Usually DNA repair mechanism corrects the changes in the nucleotide sequence, however, uncorrected changes leads to mutation. The mutation inherits from one generation to the next generation and also, it actively involved in the evolutionary changes.
