ATCase consists of carbomyl group linked to aspartic acid and is act as an enzyme and helps in acylation process.
Aspartate carbamoyl transferase helps in catalysation of the substance consisting of amino group in alpha position and thus the aspartic acid undergoes acylation in presence of ATCase whereas succinic acid not having amino group linked to it and hence it doesn't undergoes acylation in presence of ATCase.
