Interpretation:

The possibility of precipitation of barium fluoride has to be given.

Concept Introduction:

${\text{Q}}_{\text{sp}}$ is the solubility product of the concentration of ions in solution of a dissolving ionic solid.  It is given by,

  ${\text{Q}}_{\text{sp}}\text{=}\left[{\text{M}}^{\text{+}}\right]{\left[{\text{X}}^{\text{-}}\right]}^{\text{2}}$

The solubility product ${\text{K}}_{\text{sp}}$ is the concentration of ions in solution at equilibrium with dissolving ionic solid.  It is given by,

  ${\text{K}}_{\text{sp}}\text{=}\left[{\text{M}}^{\text{+}}\right]\left[{\text{X}}^{\text{-}}\right]$

If ${\text{Q}}_{\text{sp}}$ is greater than ${\text{K}}_{\text{sp}}$ if the solid at certain temperature then the solid will precipitate and form solid which means the equilibrium will move to the left in order to attain equilibrium.

If ${\text{Q}}_{\text{sp}}$ is less than ${\text{K}}_{\text{sp}}$ then no precipitation will occur and the reaction will form more solid will dissolve into the solution which means the equilibrium will move to the right in order to attain equilibrium.
