Frequency of the X-ray $=2.6\times {10}^{18}{\sec }^{-1}$

Explanation of Solution

Given Information:

Wavelength of light $=1.15\times {10}^{-10}m$

The relation between frequency and wavelength is as follows:

$\nu =\frac{c}{\lambda }$

V = Frequency

c = velocity of light $\left(3\times {10}^{8}m{s}^{-1}\right)$

$\lambda$ = wavelength

Putting the values,

$\nu =\frac{3\times {10}^{8}m/s}{1.15\times {10}^{-10}m}$

$\nu =\frac{3\times {10}^{8+10}}{1.15}$

$\nu =\frac{300\times {10}^{18}}{115}$

$=2.6\times {10}^{18}{\sec }^{-1}$
