Concept introduction: Conversion of substance from its liquid to vapor state is called boiling. Boiling point is defined as temperature that has vapor pressure of liquid equal to pressure that is present around liquid. At this temperature, substance gets converted from liquid state to vapor or gaseous phase. It depends on strength of intermolecular forces. Stronger the intermolecular forces, higher will be boiling point and vice-versa.
