Summary Introduction
Tetanus is a medical condition, in Greek tetanus indicates “to stretch”, caused by an aerobic, endospore-forming, Gram-positive, rod-shaped bacteria, named Clostridium tetani. The spores of C. tetani are usually present in hospital settings, dust, in soil, and also present in the feces of many humans and animals. Tetanus transmission is accompanyed with skin wounds.
