Mycobacteria is a genus of Actinobacteria. This genus comprised of pathogens that may cause serious illness in humans such as leprosy (Mycobacterium leprae) and tuberculosis (Mycobacterium tuberculosis). The cell wall of Mycobcateria is rich in high lipid and mycolic acids.
