To Explain: The reason aluminum ball and steel ball reach the ground at the same time.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
When two bodies free-fall in vacuum, the undergo same acceleration i.e. gravitational acceleration. Normally, air drag acts in the opposite direction of motion of the body. It depends on the size, shape and velocity of a body.
When two balls (aluminum and steel ball) of same shape and size are dropped from same height, the drag force acts equally on both. Thus, they are able to reach the ground at the same time.
