Characteristics of laser are specified below
Coherence: Laser light is produced by stimulated emission. All the photons are in same phase.
Directionality: In laser, almost every photon travel in the same direction and hence laser is known for its directionality.
Monochromatic: All photons are of same frequency and wavelength and hence it produces single colour.
High intensity: The laser light spreads in a very small area of space and wavelength range. Hence, laser light has high intensity.
Conclusion:
Hence, the useful characteristics of laser light are Coherence. Directionality, Monochromatic and its high intensity.
