The hydrothermal vents are formed where the hot water passes up through the floor of the ocean as it cools. The hydrothermal vents are found at the depth about 1500 to 1400 m. The pressure of the hydrothermal vents is excess of 200 to 300 atmospheres. Generally, the hydrothermal vents are found along the divergent plate of tectonic boundaries in the deep ocean.
