Summary Introduction
Introduction: cDNA is the process of production of double-stranded complementary DNA from a single-stranded mRNA template. This process is known as reverse transcription and is found to occur naturally in some viruses. In laboratory techniques, reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) is used to produce cDNA from mRNA, and the obtained cDNA is amplified using polymerase chain reaction techniques (PCR).
