Usually, in fatty acid, there are 2 portions as head & chain. The hydrophilic part of any species is water-soluble and the hydrophobic part is water-insoluble.

Interpretation:
Depending on the skeletal structure, the fatty acid with a higher melting point needs to be determined.
Concept introduction:
The physical & chemical properties of fatty acids are markedly dependent on chain length and degree of saturation. If the length or size of the fatty acid is more, then it has a higher melting point. Also, the surface area of any substance and its bond strength is directly proportional to the melting point.
