Introduction:
The stability of mRNAs varies considerably in case of eukaryotic organisms. Some mRNAs have very short half – lives, on the other hand, some persist for many days or even months. The stability of mRNA is regulated such that its half - life can be shortened or lengthened. In the cell, concentration of mRNA molecule is greatly influenced by a change in the stability of that mRNA. Therefore, gene expression is affected by the mechanisms that control stability of mRNA.
