Question
Chapter 15.3, Problem 1MQ
Summary Introduction
There are different genera of enteric bacteria that are grouped based on their taxonomical characteristics such as the proportion of fermentation and fermentation products made from the fermentation of glucose. Based on this, two major patterns are recognized. This includes 2, 3-butanediol fermentation and the mixed-acid fermentation. Mixed-acid fermenters such as Salmonella, Yersinia, Shigella, Escherichia, Proteus, and Citrobacter.
