Chapter 15.16, Problem 2MQ
Summary Introduction
Planctomycetes are a phylum of aquatic bacteria. It is comprised of morphologically distinctive bacteria that are categorized into two orders. They are Brocadiales and Planctomycetales. Planctomycetales are Gram-negative bacteria that show the evidence of internal cell compartmentalization, for example Gemmata. Gemmata is an aerobic, Gram-negative, motile, heterotrophic bacterium.
