Explanation of Solution
Every step of an escalator is of rectangular shape. To obtain the next step along the escalator the each step is translated upwards along the vertical.
i.e. all the vertices of the steps(rectangles) are translated upwards with same distance.
Since all the steps are of congruent for escalator, therefore there is no requirement of dilation.
Therefore, the transformation includes only translation of steps (rectangles).
