Articulate an Initial Team Vision Statement: As a team our vision is to work together to divide the work up evenly and communicate, So, that everyone can do their part but also receive help from the others to create a simple, but informative presentation on distractions and how to overcome them. We will create a PowerPoint for six of the best strategies for dealing with distractions for the group project due in week 5 Ground Rules to Communicate: Principal means of communication will be email and the UMGC (University of Maryland Global Campus) student site: -Response time must be less than 24 hours. -Confront problems, not people. -Responses must be in the same format as the initial contact (email, IM, etc.). -Individual side chats are permissible Conflict Management: When there is a disparity between what is desired and what is experienced, conflict arises. Conflict helps to inventive thinking and involvement when managed constructively (O'Neill & 1
Team Charter Allen, 2014). Yet, negative conflict depletes team energy and has negative repercussions on project management. The team must be aware of three primary types of conflict: task conflict, emotional conflict, and value conflict (Schonk, 2018). • Task conflicts and disagreements are caused by factors such as project objectives or tasks. • Differing personalities or work styles might lead to emotional conflict. • Value conflicts arise from disparities in identities or values. To establish a productive team climate that allows for the safe expression of ideas, the team. agrees to the following personal interaction norms. The next part of the plan will divvy up the research, slide development, and editing for clarity and accuracy. Remember to include every step of the process for idea development through submission. Be sure to consider your timeline (for example, the team members submitting research need to be done before the one who is responsible for submitting the final project). Depending on the task, some team members may have more than one responsibility. Name Assigned Work Date Draft Posted to Team Area 1. Aissata Samake Coordinating role 11/22/2023 2.
