The functions and distribution of slow and fast twitch muscles.
Introduction:
The body consists of different types of muscle fibers. These muscle fibers are classified on the basis of the energy they produce and how they produce energy. The classification of muscle fibers is into slow twitch or fast twitch. The muscle fiber along with its motor neuron response to the action potential. This action potential is known as twitch. In artificial conditions, even a single isolated twitch can exist.
