Summary Introduction
Introduction:
The neuromuscular junction is the region where motor neuron axon branches come in contact with the muscle fiber. The acetylcholine molecule, a neurotransmitter that is released from synaptic vesicle and that diffuse across the cleft. The synaptic cleft is the area between the presynaptic terminal and muscle fiber. This induces motor-end-plate to open when it gets bound to a ligand-gated sodium ion channel.
