The cell envelope is composed of the plasma membrane and other all external coverings. Generally, eukaryotic microorganisms differ from prokaryotic microorganisms such as bacteria and archaea in terms of their structures. Many eukaryotic microorganisms do not contain cell walls. If they contain cell walls, they chemically differ from prokaryotes.
