Concept Introduction:

The single chiral atoms (or) same structural feature in a compound cause that compound to have two possible stricture which are non-superimposable each mirror image of the other it’s called chirality.

Enantiomers: The chiral molecules that are mirror images of one another. The molecules are non-superimposable on one another. This means that the molecules cannot be placed on top of one another and give the same molecule.

The carbon bears right hand and left hand nomenclature is used to enantiomers of chiral atoms. The asymmetric or sterocenters labeled as R (Rectus) or S (Sinister) configuration.
