Concept Introduction: The plane of symmetry is an imaginary plane that two groups a molecule into halves that are mirror images of each other.

For example a special center point for certain kinds of symmetry figures. If a figure and be rotated 180 about a point (P) and looking identical to the original, then P and end up looking identical to the original, then P is a point of symmetry or plane of symmetry.
