Interpretation: To assign configuration of chirality center should be identified for the given molecule by using its structure.
Concept Introduction:
Chiral center: The single chiral atoms (or) same structural feature in a compound cause that compound to have two possible structure which are non-superimposable each mirror image of the other molecule it is called chirality. In other words chiral, a single carbon atom attached to a four different groups.
Configuration: The spatial arrangement of the atoms of a chiral molecular group and its stereo chemical description R and S it is referring to (+R) or (-S).
(R-S) configuration: The right hand and left hand nomenclature is used to name the enantiomers of a chiral compound. These stereo centers are labeled as R (counter clockwise) and S (reversed clockwise).
