Introduction:

A noncovalent interaction can be defined as the interaction wherea relatively weak chemical bond is formed, as a result of interactions other than the ones require any chemical bond formation. The energy released as aresult of the bond formation is 1-5 kcal/mol (kilocalorie per mole). The noncovalentinteractions are responsible for maintaining the three-dimensional structure of large biological molecules like proteins.
