Introduction:
α-Helix is a type of secondary structure in protein. It is formed when a polypeptide coils into a rigid and right-handedhelix to form a rod-like structure. In each turn, there are 3.6 amino acid residues and R- (side chain) group of amino acids that extend outward. Due to some structural constraints, many amino acids do no foster aα-helix conformation.
