Introduction:

An amino acid isa biologicalmicromoleculethat has two functional groups on the samecarbon atom. These functional groups are carboxylic acid (-COOH) and an amino group ( -NH2 ). The carbon atom is also bonded with a singlehydrogenatom and aside chain (R). An amino group and a carboxylgroup can neutralize each other and affect the overall polarity of the amino acid. On the basis of polarity, amino acids can be classified into two types:polar amino acidandnonpolar amino acid (uncharged).
