Concept explainers
To discuss:
Double helical structure of the DNA; What holds the helical structure of DNA together; base pairing in DNA and law of complementary base pairing.
Introduction:
DNA is a genetic material, it carries genetic information from one generation to another. A complete set of genetic materials (both coding and non-coding regions of DNA) of an organism is called as genome. The total human genome consists of about 3.1 billion base pairs and nearly 20,000 protein coding genes.
