Write a c++ program to assign passengers seats in an airplane. Assume a small airplane with seat numbering as follows:
1 A B C D
2 A B C D
3 A B C D
4 A B C D
5 A B C D
6 A B C D
7 A B C D
The program should display the seat pattern, with an 'X' marking the seats already assigned. For example, after seats 1A, 2B, and 4C are taken, the display should look like this:
1 X B C D
2 A X C D
3 A B C D
4 A B X D
5 A B C D
6 A B C D
7 A B C D
After displaying the seats available, the program prompts for the seat desired, the user types in a seat, and then the display of available seats is updated. This continues until all seats are filled or until the user signals that the program should end. If the user types in a seat that is already assigned, the program should say that that seat is occupied and ask…
Write a program that translates a letter grade into a number grade. Letter grades are
A, B, C, D, and F, possibly followed by + or –. Their numeric values are 4, 3, 2, 1,
and 0. There is no F+ or F-. A + increases the numeric value by 0.3, a – decreases it
by 0.3. However, an A+ has value 4.0.
Enter a letter grade: B-
The numeric value is 2.7.

Sometimes figuring letter grades is hard. Write a program that asks for, and reads from the user, a midterm exam grade and a final exam grade. Compute the average of those two grades and ouput a letter grade based on the scale shown below. CHALLENGE PROBLEM: One of my graduate school classes modified the above calculation. This professor said that the final grade would be determined by the simple average of the midterm and the final, however, if the student scored better on the final than they did on the midterm, the professor would weight the midterm exam at 25%, and the final exam at 75% when computing the final grade. Modify your code to use this professors modification in determining letter grade. Here is the grading scale:

Summary: Given integer values for red, green, and blue, subtract the gray from each value. Computers represent color by combining the sub-colors red, green, and blue (rgb). Each sub-color's value can range from 0 to 255. Thus (255, 0, 0) is bright red, (130, 0, 130) is a medium purple, (0, 0, 0) is black, (255, 255, 255) is white, and (40, 40, 40) is a dark gray. (130, 50, 130) is a faded purple, due to the (50, 50, 50) gray part. (In other words, equal amounts of red, green, blue yield gray). Given values for red, green, and blue, remove the gray part. Ex: If the input is: 130 50 130 the output is: 80 0 80 Hint: Find the smallest value, and then subtract it from all three values, thus removing the gray.arrow_forwardWrite a program that reads from the user a character ('q' or 'c'). If the character is 'c', the program reads from the user the radius rof a circle and prints its area. • If the user enters 'q', the program asks the user to enter the length and width of a quadrilateral. We assume the quadrilateral is either a square or rectangle. You should print if the quadrilateral is square or rectangle. • Otherwise, it prints "Wrong character" PS: Use the following formulas: area of circle=3.14*r Sample Run1: Enter a character (q or c): q Enter the Length and Width: 80 150 |It is a rectangle Sample Run2: Enter a character (q or c): q Enter the Length and Width: 80 80 It is a square Sample Run3: Enter a character (q or c): c Enter the radius: 2 The area of the circle is 12.56 Sample Run4: Enter a character (q or c): d Wrong characterarrow_forward
- Write a program that picks four cards from a deck of 52 cards and computes their sum. An ace, king, queen, and jack represent 1, 13, 12, and 11, respectively. Your program should display the number of picks that yieldthe sum of 24.arrow_forwardIn C++arrow_forwardWrite a program that translates a letter grade into a number grade. Letter grades are A, B, C, D, and F, possibly folled by + or -. Their numberic values are 4, 3, 2, 1, and 0. There is no F+ or F-. A + increases the numeric value by .3 while a - decreses it by .3. An A+ has a value of 4.0. c++arrow_forward

Write a program that prints a square, a rectangle and a triangle using asterisk. Write a program that adds THREE(3) numbers. Write a program that multiply THREE(3) numbers. Write a program that divides TWO(2) numbers.arrow_forwardA very known application in natural language processing is to extract information from a given text. In this lab, you will be able to extract some emotions (Sad and Happy) from a given string and calculate the score of each emotion. You will be given below the words that express sadness, anger, and happiness. For each word, you will be given weight as well, so that when you are calculating for example the score for sadness in the text (string), you can use this formula:arrow_forward
- Sometimes we write similar letters to different people. For example, you might write to your parents to tell them about your classes and your friends and to ask for money; you might write to a friend about your love life, your classes, and your hobbies; and you might write to your brother about your hobbies and your friends and to ask for money. Write a program that prints similar letters such as these to three people of your choice. Each letter should have at least one paragraph in common with each of the other letters. Your main program should have three method calls, one for each of the people to whom you are writing. Try to isolate repeated tasks into methods.arrow_forward6. A palindrome is a number or text phrase that reads the same backwards or forwards. For example, each of the following five-digit integers is a palindrome: 12321, 55555, 45554 and 11611. Write a program that reads a 5 digit integer and determines whether it is a palindrome. Hint: One way to do this is to use division (/) and modulus (%) operators to separate the number into individual digits.arrow_forwardWrite a program that reads student scores, gets the best score, and hence assigns grades based on the following scheme: Grade is A if score is > = best - 10; Grade is B if score is > = best - 20; Grade is C if score is > = best - 30; Grade is D if score is > = best - 40; Grade is F otherwise. The program prompts the user to enter the total number of students, then prompts the user to enter all of the scores, and concludes by displaying the grades. Language: C++arrow_forward
