Chapter 19, Problem 2MC
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
The second skin layer which is present below the outermost epidermal layer is known as the dermis. The dermis is made up of connective tissues like blood vessels, hair follicles, sebaceous glands among other structures. The dermis is consists of living tissues that provides nutrients to the epidermis. The dermis also helps in the regulation of heat loss and regulates the temperature of the skin.
