Summary Introduction

Introduction:

The common term used for the cutaneous membrane is “skin” which is tough and flexible in nature. The skin not just keep all the internal organs together, it performs certain other significant functions too. It prevents loss of water, regulates the temperature of a body by producing sweat, dilating and constricting blood vessels, helps in the formation of vitamin D. It has some chemical and physical properties which facilitate it in becoming a barrier against invasion of microorganisms.
