In the aftermath of a massive oil spill caused by its rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, petroleum firm BP faced a major public relations crisis. However,a report emerged last year that the search giant was looking to launch a censored version of itssearch app in China. The initiative, which the company acknowledged publicly, was in its earlystages.
