Summary Introduction
Aerobic anoxygenic phototrophs are obligate aerobes that acquire energy from light through anoxygenic photosynthesis. These bacteria capture light energy and store it in the form of ATP (adenosine triphosphate). These bacteria are Gram-negative. They contain numerous photosynthetic pigments such as bacteriochlorophyll a, b, c, d, e, f and so on.
