Introduction:
Synapse is a junction between two nerve cells. One neuron sends a message to another neuron through the synapse. In case of a chemical synapse, the action potential triggers or stimulates the presynaptic neuron to release or secrete the neurotransmitter. There are two kinds of synapses namely chemical and electrical synapse.
