Introduction:
An organ developed in the uterus of the female during the time of pregnancy is termed as the placenta. The umbilical cord of the baby is derived from the placenta. The primary work of the placenta is to maintain a connection between the fetus and the female body for the exchange of various essential materials. Gonads is the other name given to the male and female primary reproductive organs. There are various hormones secreted by the gonads and the placenta.
