Question
Chapter 11, Problem 11RA
Summary Introduction
To determine:
The hormone which uses cAMP as a second messenger.
Introduction:
Hormones are chemical secretions of the endocrine glands. Intracellular mediators for the action of hormones are known as second messengers. The binding of hormones with membrane receptor proteins activates specific enzyme protein in the plasma membrane for secondary messengers to exert their effects. Cyclic AMP (adenosine monophosphate) is the most common form of secondary messenger.
