Introduction:
A structure with a hydrocarbon chain and a carboxyl group at one terminal end is called as a fatty acid (FA). The fatty acids can either be saturated or unsaturated depending on the presence or absence of double bonds. The glycerol ester with three fatty acids is known as a triacylglycerol. Phosphoglycerides are the phospholipids that are derived from glycerol.
