Myc gene basically a proto-oncogene that play a key role in cell cycle progression, cellular transformation and apoptosis. The Ras gene family members for example H-Ras is important in cell signaling. Its primary role involved in cell division regulation. When mutation occurs in Ras genes, the cells grow uncontrollably and cause cancer. Both Myc and Ras activation leads to tumorigenesis. Under some conditions, it triggers the oncogenes causing cellular transformation. As reported through several experiments, combination of both leads to tumorigenesis.
