In preparation for your "Missiological Analysis of Scripture" assignment, briefly discuss five passages of Scripture that you think are key to the mission of God. How does the concept of God's universal intent in the Old Testament come to fruition in the New Testament? Choose one of your five, and add additional context to why you think they are significant in understanding the mission of God. Be sure to cite your references clearly. Jan 8, 2024, 3:06 PM INT-310 Topic 2 – DQ2 January 11, 2024 Pastor Eli  Professor and Classmates, Happy New Year,              These are some of the passages of the Old Testament that I think are keys to the mission of God:  Exodus 9:14-16 - I have raised you up for this very purpose...that My name might be proclaimed in all the earth.  Exodus 19:6 - Israel was to be a kingdom of priests.  Deuteronomy 32:1 - Hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.  Psalm 9:11 - Proclaim among the nations what He has done.  Isiah 42:6 - I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles.   God's intent in the Old Testament came to fruition as shown in John 3:16-17: “16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” (The Holy Bible: English Standard Version, 2001/2016, John 3:16-17).     Exodus 19:6, “ and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel,” is significant in understanding the universal mission of God and it was confirmed by 1 Peter 2:9: "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may PROCLAIM the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
