Gun Control In this argument about gun control, let’s explore the main arguments for and against gun control laws. The issue of gun control has generated debate for many years. A majority of Americans have supported the gun laws for decades, the 55 percent of participant in a ballot were in favor of manufacture, possession and sale of semiautomatic guns. Others may say raising the legal age can be the solution for mass shootings, The stricter gun rules is the second amendment. But I would argue that the gun control laws can help to prevent these types of incidents . My contention about gun control is supported by the fact that the more that two-thirds were committed by shooters under the age of 18, according to the Austin American-Statesman. The analysis found that the median age for school shooters was 16. Additional facts that support this view of gun control are raise the minimum age to purchase guns, ban assault weapons, and require a permit in all states to carry a handgun. People should be able to go to school, the mall, or a club without the fear or threat of shooting. The only way to reduce that problem is change the laws. For example, last year my sister and I were in the mall with our children, we were in a store when they had to lockdown in the store because shots had been heard. We stayed here about four hour. have helped take down people trying to inflict harm. The shooting could have been much worse. Finally, the united states has 120.5 guns per 100 people, or about 393,347,000 guns and the secret service analysis found that 24 was shootings in 2019 at least 10 (42%) involved illegally possessed guns . In conclusion, there are strong arguments about gun control debate. Opponents contend that any measures to restrict gun ownership are a violation of the second amendment and may not be effective in avoiding gun violence, despite the fact that proponents contend that stricter gun control laws can reduce gun violence and increase public safety.
