2 Organizational Overview Organizations all across the world are growing more and more concerned with the topic of diversity and inclusiveness. Lack of inclusion and diversity in the workplace may harm an organization's effectiveness in several ways, including a shortage of viewpoints, lowered employee morale, and challenges in luring and keeping people from diverse backgrounds ( Phelps, 2022 ). This paper examines a situation whereby ABC Corporation, a business, struggles with a lack of inclusion and diversity in the workplace. We'll also suggest a way to deal with this problem. ABC Corporation is a leading software and technology company. They are a global software leader. ABC Corporation was created some years ago to create unique software products and provide high-quality technological solutions to organizations across industries. They've evolved and extended to serve many sectors and clientele. ABC Corporation values innovation, teamwork, and customer service ( Bloomberg, n.d ). They inspire creativity and professional development in a supportive workplace. They conduct seminars, training, and team- building events to improve employee skills and engagement. Software solutions are provided for various clients' enterprises by ABC Corporation, a provider of software solutions. Two hundred people work for the company, most of whom fall into a single demographic. A lack of diverse ideas and working methods results from lacking diversity in the workforce ( Bocquet et al., 2019). The firm may miss out on fresh perspectives and unique ideas that help them offer better solutions to their clients, which reduces the organization's efficiency. Additionally, because employees from underrepresented groups may feel undervalued and unappreciated, a lack of diversity can also lower employee morale.
3 ABC Corporation may take the following measures to solve this issue. First, ABC Corporation can create a committee of workers from various backgrounds to address the company's problems of inclusion and diversity ("GRC's top 5 tips to overcome diversity challenges: GRC Solutions (Australia)" n.d). The committee would create workplace diversity and inclusion plans. The committee should include diverse department employees and underrepresented groups. Second, ABC Corporation can train employees on workplace inclusivity and diversity. These sessions must cover cultural competency, microaggressions, and unconscious bias. Workshops, seminars, and online courses deliver training. Thirdly, ABC Corporation may create a more welcoming workplace by implementing inclusion and diversity policies ("GRC's top 5 tips to overcome diversity challenges: GRC Solutions (Australia)" n.d.). The company may promote gender equality, flexible work hours, and diversity. ABC Corporation may hire more diverse candidates by actively seeking them (Ely & Thomas, 2020). Without diversity, the organization may have limited perspectives and ideas. This narrows problem-solving and decision-making. Diverse teams can generate more creative ideas. Diversity encourages employees to share their unique ideas and challenge the status quo. Diverse teams bring new ideas and perspectives. ABC Software Corporation may struggle to innovate and stay competitive without this diversity of thought ( Bocquet et al., 2019 ). The company will have difficulty comprehending a diverse customer base: In today's globalized world, businesses serve diverse customers. ABC Software Corporation may struggle to meet market demands without a diverse workforce. ABC Software Corporation may struggle to recruit and retain top talent due to lacking diversity. In conclusion, a lack of workplace inclusion and diversity can lower productivity and demoralize employees (Morris, 2023).
