The organization of supplies change could have been done in a couple other approaches. The way I implemented it took over six months to get approved. One approach I could have done is to have one big meeting to present the idea instead of three separate meetings with three different groups. This would have saved time. By having one big presentation with all the management, leaders, and board members, all questions, concerns, and explanations would have been more thorough. The approval might not have taken as long. Another approach would have been to involve the other leaders. Instead of doing all the research and presentation myself, involving the other leaders that the change would affect would have been helpful. This would also allow the other leaders to know and understand the process when the change was implemented. The resistance might have been less, and the change would have been smoother. Provide a rationale for each of your proposed approaches, including potential impacts on individuals and on the organization as a whole. Having one big presentation would have been better for me because I only had to present it once. Also, some managers are also board members which caused them to hear and see the presentation twice. The impact of presenting it would have been stronger if only doing it one time. Also, it was a lot of work researching, putting together the presentation, and getting all the data by myself. Involving the other leaders would have helped with all the information. The presentation would have been more thorough, and the research would have been more accurate. Even though the new process was approved, since I did all the work myself, the other leaders are dumping the responsibility onto me to keep them inventoried and stocked.
