2 Introduction Digital Transformation (DT) uses digital technologies to create new or modify existing business processes, products, and services. It is a crucial strategy for businesses to stay competitive in the rapidly changing digital age. This paper has selected two officially registered operating companies, Diamond Schmitt Architects and FBM Architecture & Interior Design, to assess the potential impacts of applying Digital Transformation technologies. The paper will provide an overview of the two selected companies and the DT Technologies most suitable for each. Furthermore, the paper will discuss the change management model that should be used to implement the DT technologies in the departments of the two businesses. Overview of the Companies The first company is Diamond Schmitt Architects. Diamond Schmitt Architects is an award-winning architecture firm based in Toronto, Canada. The firm has created exceptional design solutions for over 50 years, working on global projects. The firm's portfolio includes an impressive range of projects, from residential and commercial architecture to healthcare, education and cultural facilities. The second company is FBM Architecture and Interior Design. FBM is a full-service architecture and interior design firm in Toronto, Canada. The firm specializes in various services, from master planning and architectural design to interior design and project management. The firm has been providing exceptional design solutions for over 30 years, with a portfolio including residential, commercial and institutional projects. Develop a Change Management Model
3 Change management models are valuable tools for companies and organizations undergoing digital transformation. The change management model is designed to help manage the transition to the new technology and assist with implementing new processes. It is also used to assess the impact of digital transformation on the organization and its employees. The change management model used for implementing DT technology in the two selected companies is the ADKAR model. ADKAR stands for Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability and Reinforcement. This model ensures that the transition to the new technology is successful and that the change is sustained over the long term. a) The first step of this model is Awareness . This involves educating the employees and stakeholders about the new technology and how it can benefit the organization. The organization should also ensure that the employees know the risks associated with the technology and how to mitigate them. b) Desire : The second step is to create a passion for the change. This involves motivating the stakeholders to adopt the new technology by providing incentives and encouraging them stakeholders to understand the benefits that the new technology can bring. c) Knowledge : The third step of the ADKAR Model is knowledge. This involves providing the stakeholders with the necessary knowledge and skills to use the new technology. This may include training and providing resources and materials to help the stakeholders understand how to use the technology. d) Ability : The fourth step is ability. This involves ensuring stakeholders have the necessary tools and resources to use the technology. This may include providing access to the required hardware and software and ensuring stakeholders have the necessary technical skills and knowledge to use the technology.

4 e) Reinforcement : The fifth and final step is reinforcement. This involves providing ongoing support and guidance to the stakeholders to ensure that they continue to use the technology effectively. This may include providing feedback and rewards for using the technology and providing support when needed. The ADKAR model is an effective way to ensure that digital transformation is successful. By following this model, the organization can ensure that the transition to the new technology is successful and that the change is sustained over the long term. This model can be used for both the Diamond Schmitt Architects and FBM Architecture & Interior Design companies to implement DT technology in their respective departments successfully. Implement the DT Technologies DT Technologies for Diamond Schmitt Architects. The most suitable DT Technologies for Diamond Schmitt Architects are AI/ML and Cloud Computing. AI/ML is a powerful tool that can automate tedious and repetitive tasks, such as design and analysis. AI can also analyze data to identify patterns and trends to optimize decision-making. Cloud computing can store and access data securely, conveniently, and cost-effectively. It can also be used to provide access to software and applications that are not available locally. DT Technologies for FBM Architecture & Interior Design. The most suitable DT Technologies for FBM Architecture & Interior Design have Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). AR and VR can create immersive 3D environments that allow users to experience a project before it is built. This can be used to visualize the design and make real-time changes. AR and VR can also be used to reduce costs and improve the efficiency of the design process.
