Organisation Culture and Reflection of Cultural Values in an Organisation Oragnisation culture is one a systems which oulines the assumptions , values and belives which the organization believes drives them towards the success of their mission. Thus Organisation culture forms a basis in which an organization enhance their primary strentghs towards which the conduct of employees are aligned. The cultlure can be reflected by showing the people what is appropriate and guidilines which they have to follow as they work within the organization and impproraite behaivoiur bahiviour which is not expected on any of the human resource in all parts of the business operations. Thus, the organization is a driving force that ensures that the organization has provided high level behaviour which allows it to meet its competitive organization. The Impact of Organisation Culture on Total Quality Management Practices and Pricinples . The culture is essential in ehnacing the code of conduct which runs the organization activities and ensuring that all ethical matters are considered in every level of operations. Thus, organization has the ability to promotes proper working environment which will see all the operations conducted with utmost due care. In a company where the culture supports morales of the employees , they become more productive and motivated at workplaces to an extent that they value the quality desired by the organization at any given time. Other key advantages includes ability topromote friendly relationship between organization and employees and could eliminate high level of turn rate since the employees are likely to be happy and satisfied in the job. Can the Organization Change its Organization Culture and Promote TQM Practices and Principles The organization cannot change the culture since it may cause confusion and interfere with the ethics that are in place to ensure that the organization is successful. This is because the organization culture is the foundation of the organization and is able to promote Total quality and management without compromising or changing the organizational culture . Is it Easy to Change Organizational Culture The changing of the organizational culture may not be possible or easy to change, this is because there are chances that the employees resistance may exist as it may be skewed towards depriving them on something they value the most. Thus to minimize the resistance there must be proper communication to be able to understanding the reason of change or to eductate them about neet for change. This will see the employees craping the value which comes with the change and whether it will provide them with additional value. The Barriers to Change 1. Improper communication of the basis of change 2. Lack of commitment by management to support a change 3. Negative attitude delveloped by employees as a results of change management 4. The inability to incorporate the change process by management , for instance the traning of employees to adopt change, that is , inability to deploy traning to enhance new knowledge being passed on. The organization is oblidged to ask the purpose of change, the impact of that change to the organization culture and what impact can the change develop to employees. The steps in change management process is essential to help in response to internal and external environment. For instance, consider where an organization has to change its strategy since the initial strategy do not meet the expectation, that in some cases changing the technology in use and adopting the recent technology, in order to adopt new practices which in the best of their knowledge they are sure will help the organization make tramidious success. Its essential to engage all employees in the process so that they can understand the impact the technology is likely to bring to them. What Words would you Use to Describe your Company The company can be described as destiny Laboratories , the company offers 100 percent organics in the market. The environment in which it operates always enables it to produce high quality product and services which helps in measurement and preventioin of environmental change. What is really Important 1. The production of organic products are essential in the market since the food is often fresher and have prevenitives which ensures that it remains fresher over a longer period of time. 2. The products are environmentally friendly since it helps to reduce the impact on the environmental and preserves natural resources. What does the organization rewards and recognize 1. The organization has received an award in the department of natural resources as one of the most eco system frineldy company in USA. 2. The company has received an award of green companies recognistion 3. The company has also received an award from the body that governs universities as a top ennironnemnt management company operating in USA. How does you assess the organisations culture The culture is assessed based on the behaivoiur of all stakeholders in the whole operational departments. That is, the focus is skewed towards the environment and strive to eliminate the environmental changes and effects. The organization ensures safe and effective products for its customers at any given time. What is learning organisations Learning orgniastion is skewed towards dealing with environment and promote safety for employees and companies for General mills inc. helps the community by implementing corporate social responsibity. General Mills Inc. is the best example of an effective learning since. 1. It operates ethically to ensure there is no waste-free , that it equips itself with water treatement facility in which water discharged from the operation is treated before discharged to ensure it remains environmental friendly.
2. General Mills Inc. uses proper packaging to ensure sustainability of its products by use of packaging materials and recycled for its water brands. 3. General Mills Inc. has developed a technlolgy approach and innovative programs to ensure continuos engagements of its customers. 4. Genrall Mills Inc. has improved their response to the customer requiremnets since they produce an environmental friendly products and strives for continuous improvements to ensure that they do not afeect the environment and reduce the emiision of gas significantly. Discussion Two The Supply Chain Management Approaches and Strengths and weaknesses The supply chain management approaches ensure that quality relationship are maintained between the organisations and the suppliers at any given time. The company is obliged to choose the approach that best suit their culture and the manner which they operates. Approaches Relationship Approach- the approache considers long term relationship as essential , that is developing the relationship with suppliers to ensure reliable and quality of goods and services at any given point . The approache is a;so characterized by frequent communication between the two parites and even visting the suppliers . The Strength- it enhances better understaning of the suppliers needs and capabilities and therefore it gives more efficiency to manegment Weakness - Relatioship is good but may be sometimes disavantagious to the organization and suppliers as there may be delay in payment by the organization but the supplier may have little influence to faclilitate it. Transactional Approach- it considers price and cost cost as prime factor in minimization and is characterized by short term engagements. It involve one off relationship with suppliers. This approache is best for institution as they need to acquire large volume of goods and relationship are not very necessary but cost efcetiveness is very core to ensure financial sustainability. Strength – the approach is more cost effective in short term and when an organization needs to acquire goods in large quantity and within a shorter period . Weakness - it may results to misunderstanding which can lead to unnecessary goods being delivered as all parties are only focused on reducing cost rather than undrstaning the basics for acquiring a more quality product . The Approaches used by the Stanford University The best approach for the institution is the transactional approach which is more cost effective and allows them to acquire large quantity of goods at a sustainable price .

For instance the Stanford University has been able to save costs and maintain the financial sustainability at any given time. This implies that the tenders of the supplies are only given to the supplies who provides the products and services at a reasonale price and meets the dealline of supply to help facilitate the organization ability to meet its supply demands. This is essential has it enahaces the company ability to utilize the little resources and meet the institution operational demands. The effectiveness in cost management is also essential as it esures that the university remains financially sustainable.
