Part1,Question 2: Why do you as an IT professional need to care about ethics? How can you be an ethical IT professional?
As a person who works in IT, it's important to think about ethics for a number of reasons. First of
all, ethics tell us how to act in the workplace and help us make choices that are fair, responsible, and kind to other people (Silvius and Schipper, 2022). Also, ethics provide a framework for keeping secrets, making sure data is secure, and keeping private information safe. As IT professionals, we have access to important data and information that must be handled with honesty and care. We can help stop data breaches, illegal access, and the wrong use of information if we follow ethical rules. (Chang et al., 2020)
To be an honest IT worker, it's important to follow the following rules: 1) Privacy and confidentiality: IT workers must treat user privacy with the utmost care and protect any private or confidential information. This means putting in place security measures to keep unauthorized people from getting in, using encryption to keep data safe, and following the rules for handling private information.
2) Openness and honesty: IT pros should be open about what they do and tell clients, users, and coworkers the truth. They should be honest about any conflicts of interest, how qualified they are, and what they can do. They should also be honest about how technology works and what it can't do. 3) Accountability: People who work in IT should be responsible for what they do and how it affects other people. They should try to do good work, meet goals, and take care of any mistakes in a timely and honest way.(Huterski and coworkers, 2020) .IT professionals should also follow the standards and codes of behavior set by their own organizations or associations.
Part 1,Question 6: How can you be an ethical leader?
The possession of ethical leadership is a fundamental characteristic that is important for persons
who hold positions of authority or wield significant influence. Leaders that exhibit ethical leadership are motivated by a robust ethical framework and a set of values that inform their decision-making. According to Xi et al. 2022, individuals demonstrate a prioritization of the well-being and rights of others, hence ensuring justice and equality in their acts. Ethical leaders possess a comprehensive understanding of the significance associated with establishing a constructive precedent and assuming the position of a paragon for others. The individuals continually exhibit qualities of integrity, honesty, and transparency in their conduct, so establishing trust and earning the respect of their followers. Moreover, ethical leaders proactively oversee the ethical aspects within their own firms (Korbi, 2015). Organizations set explicit ethical rules and expectations, ensuring effective communication of these standards to their personnel, and implementing mechanisms to enforce accountability for ethical behavior. Ethical leaders place a high emphasis on effectively communicating ethical norms and principles. (Budur & Demir, 2019).The organization cultivates a conducive atmosphere that promotes open discourse and deliberation regarding ethical matters, thereby empowering employees to express their apprehensions and seek counsel when confronted with ethical quandaries. Numerous studies have
demonstrated a significant correlation between ethical leadership and heightened levels of employee happiness, engagement, and commitment.
Part 2, Question3: Explain why green computing can be good for business.
Green computing has many advantages for enterprises. It assists enterprises in reducing their environmental impact. By instituting energy-efficient computing solutions and utilizing recyclable materials, businesses can reduce their consumption of hazardous materials and CO2 emissions. (Ara, 2018) The benefits of green computing extend beyond mere environmental impact reduction. Increased equipment longevity, consolidation of data centers, improved data administration, and enhanced corporate reputation are among the numerous business benefits of green computing.
Energy-
efficient equipment tends to have a longer life-span, reducing the frequency and cost of equipment replacement (Makisha & Shevchenko-Enns, 2019).
Consolidating a company's data center reduces the number of physical servers required, resulting in cost savings in both hardware and energy consumption. Effective data management, enabled by cloud computing, can expedite and improve corporate operations.
In addition, implementing
eco-friendly computing practices can significantly improve a company's reputation, making it more attractive to environmentally-conscious customers and investors. (Severo et al., 2020) This can result in increased customer loyalty and potentially attract more investors, positively affecting the bottom line.
Part 2, Question4: Find three good examples of green computing in business.
Explain why they are good examples in detail.
Green computing, also known as sustainable IT or eco-friendly computing, refers to the environmentally responsible use of computers and technology. As part of their corporate social responsibility initiatives, numerous businesses have adopted eco-friendly computing practices in recent years. Google, IBM, and Apple are three examples of green computing in business that serve as models. Google's data centers are an excellent example of green computation in the business world. (Shu et al., 2014)Google has implemented various energy-efficient technologies and practices to reduce the environmental impact of its data centers.
IBM's Cloud-based energy and water management solution is another excellent example of green computing in business. Green Horizons is an outstanding example of eco-friendly computing in action. It employs sophisticated analytic and modeling techniques to aid localities and organizations in monitoring and managing their energy and water consumption (Zhou et al., 2020). This solution enables businesses to identify areas of inefficiency and implement strategies to reduce their carbon footprint by providing real-time data analysis and insights.

Need for Ethics
What is business ethics? The answer to this question may be as simple as reciting the usual definition. Or it may be more complex by detailing the “good” ways the company interacts with its various stakeholders. The answer may also depend on who is asking the question. Many think that there is always a “right ways of doing” based on moral principles. Others believe the right thing to do depends on the situation and so ultimately it is up to individual. A customer may view a safe product as proof of an ethical business. An employee may see ethics in fair wages an full benefits. A stockholder may it in the corporation’s compliance with existing corporate best practices as enunciated in the SEC Rules. In fact, all of these answers are accurate because the ethics of a business is demonstrated through its practices.
