1860 Foundations of Project Management Exercise 1 Weighted Scoring Template Instructions For the PMExpo Venue Booking project, the project team must determine the best venue for the PMExpo. The team has developed a list of potential cities for the conference and has narrowed it down to the final four. After much discussion, the team has developed four criteria scored on a 4-point scale (0, 1, 2, or 3 – with 3 being the highest) to help them evaluate and make a recommendation. To complete the exercise: 1. Review the data provided in the Problem for each city and determine the appropriate score (0, 1, 2, or 3) using the criteria table below listing the criteria and scoring options 2. Enter the scores in the template table in the City Score column in each of the criteria rows 3. Next enter the weight from the Problem in the Weight column 4. Then for each city, multiply the score by the weight for each criterion and enter the result in the Weighted cell column 5. Sum up the weighted cells for each city and enter the total in the total row 6. The city with the highest score is your recommendation For this Exercise, a score will be used multiple times. When selecting your answer in Quercus, the list of possible answers is randomized and not in numerical order - please scroll down to the bottom of the list to see all possible answers in the drop-down menu. You have 30 minutes to complete this exercise and two attempts. The time will be displayed at the top of the screen. The highest grade of your two attempts will be recorded in the gradebook. For more information on Weighted Scoring, please see Module 2, slides 17 to 21. In addition to prepare for this Exercise, try Practice Exercise 1 as many times as you like.
