Q1. In approximately 250 words, explain why in networked e- Business, the only constant is change. In the world of online business, change is the only thing that stays the same (Grefen, 2016). This constant change happens because we need new and better technology to keep up with the ever-growing online business world. In Chapter 1, we talk about how the way businesses work together can change a lot depending on what customers want (Grefen, 2016). In today's global economy, businesses have to come up with new and helpful products or services to keep growing online. They also have to be able to change quickly when what customers want or what the market is like changes. This means they need new technology too. So, as businesses grow and change, the technology they use has to grow and change too. When we talk about how online businesses develop, we're looking at two things happening at once. One is the technology getting better, which pushes businesses to use it (Grefen, 2016). The other is what customers and the market need, which pulls businesses in certain directions. Both of these are always changing fast, especially in online business. In short, there are lots of things to think about when we look at how online businesses keep growing, but one of the most important is the technology that has to keep getting better to meet the needs of today's economy. An example of this is how the internet created new ways to buy and sell things online. Q2. In approximately 250 words, explain how the Big Five influence the development of networked e-business. There are five major IT developments that play a big role in how online businesses grow. These five things are social media, mobile devices, cloud computing, big data, and the internet of things. We like to call them the "Big Five." (Grefen, 2016). Each of these things has a special place in how online businesses work, and understanding them helps us see how they affect what you see and experience on the internet. Social media is like a tool that helps businesses connect with people who might want to buy their stuff. They use the information people share on social media to show them ads and offer products. Mobile computing, like smartphones and tablets, let us go online anywhere, anytime using wireless networks. It's like having the internet in your pocket. Cloud computing is like having super convenient access to things on the internet, like search engines, email, and social media accounts. You don't need to store everything on your own computer; it's up there in the "cloud." Big data is all the information that businesses collect from us. They use this to figure out what we like and then show us stuff we might want to buy. The internet of things is what makes it all possible. It's like the highway that connects everything together. Thanks to the internet, businesses can reach us and do business with us wherever and whenever we want. In simple terms, these Big Five things help online businesses market their products and services to us. They use these technologies to show us what they have to offer, and we can buy from them online whenever and wherever we like. So, it's all about using technology to make our online shopping and browsing experience better and more convenient.

They start by organizing their business using what's called the "BOAT wheel model." Think of this as a blueprint for how they run their show. Why? Because the travel industry is a tough place to be, and they want to stand out. Kayak aims to make things easy for travelers by offering them everything they need in one place. It's like a one-stop shop for all your travel needs. This helps them in many ways, like making it simple to update their website, ensuring consistent quality, using automation, and giving travelers a professional and smooth experience when using their site (Xue, 2017). But here's the cool part: Kayak doesn't do everything alone. They work with lots of other businesses in a network. These partners offer things like hotels, flights, and rental cars to make your trip awesome. And they do it in real-time, so you can customize your trip to fit your needs. One big thing to know is that Kayak is always adjusting. They're constantly changing and updating what they offer to match what travelers like you want. They also have to keep up with the needs of both regular folks like us and big business travelers. So, in a nutshell, Kayak uses the BOAT model to organize its business and offer travelers a "search once and you're done" experience. The organizational side of e-business can be broken down into three key components. Think of these as the essential building blocks that help e-businesses run smoothly. These components are e-business organizational structures, e- business functions, and e-business processes (Grefen, 2016). E-business organizational structures come in two varieties. These are known as inter-organizational structures and intra- organizational structures (Grefen, 2016). Inter-organizational structures deal with how different parties work together, including both the main players and intermediary parties. Intra-organizational structures, on the other hand, are all about how a single organization is put together on the inside. This includes the way it's organized internally, with a front end and a back end, and how it functions. E-business Functions: In networked e-business, the front end and back end of intra-organizational structures play crucial roles (Grefen, 2016). The front end, often referred to as primary business functions, provides a well-structured foundation that e-businesses can use as a starting point for designing and analyzing the development and distribution of products and services. The back end, also known as secondary business functions, supports the primary functions by managing and developing products and services.
E-business Processes: Every business function follows a particular sequence to achieve a specific goal. We call this sequence the e-business process. Similar to business functions, these processes can be categorized into primary and secondary e-business processes (Grefen, 2016). Primary e-business processes determine the order in which a business markets and manufactures its products or services, while secondary e-business processes outline the order for managing, developing, and maintaining the operation of the business. In addition to the three primary components of the organizational aspect of e-business, there is: operations management and change management (Grefen, 2016). Operations management focuses on efficiently organizing and carrying out business functions and processes.
