To calculate: which brand of juice will you need more of to make required drink.

Answer to Problem 6LC

Brand with $15\%$ cranberry juice.

Explanation of Solution

Given information: One brand of cranberry-apple drink is $15\%$ cranberry juice. Another brand is $40\%$ cranberry juice. $25\%$ cranberry juice is required by combining both the brands.

Calculation:

  $25\%$ cranberry juice is required, now one brand has $15\%$ cranberry juice and other has $40\%$ cranberry juice. Now $25\%$ is nearer to $15\%$ than $40\%$ . So, to make such concentration, more $15\%$ cranberry juice is required.
