Calculation : the scale of the drawing is $1inch:4feet$ ,

1. Room dimensions $14feetby18feet$

Room dimensions in the drawing, by using scale , first write the ratio in the fraction then multiply with the dimensions,

  $\begin{array}{l}\frac{1}{4}·\text{14,}\frac{1}{4}·\text{18}\\ \text{3}\text{.5,4}\text{.5 [divide]}\end{array}$

2. Sofa length = $6feet$

Sofa length in the drawing = $\frac{1}{4}·6$

3. To double the dimensions of the drawing double the ratiomultiply the ratio numerator by 2.
