Serine proteases are a group ofenzymes that contain serine as its nucleophile. The serine nucleophile attacks the peptide bond and hydrolyzes it. Catalytic triad has three amino acids, which are found in the active site of this enzyme. The serine catalytic triad is made of serine (Ser)195, histidine (His)57, and aspartate (Asp) 102.
